FAQ
Facts about the Blackhawk Bookstore
When should you shop for your books?
At the store, we recommend you come in the week before your class begins. Any sooner and we may not have your material from the publisher at that time. Later may mean a longer waiting line at the register.
Online, our site is activated several weeks before your class will begin. Thus, for prices you can use the web site. Master card and Visa are always accepted and we may charge against specific financial aid types at dates to be determined at a later point in time.
How much will my books cost?
If you are a full time, general study student, you should expect to spend $400.00-$500.00. If you are in a specific career ed program, your program costs can be discussed with your instructor.
What do you need to get your books?
Always, always, always bring with you a copy of your schedule. You must have your department, course and section number for each class you are enrolled.
What if you change classes or get the wrong text?
Always, always, always keep your receipt. We are required to provide a refund in the exact means of your original payment during the refund period allowed. Detailed information of refunds and exchanges will be stapled to your original receipt at time of purchase. We do not track each student's purchases, so return items with your original receipt for proof of purchase.
